Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce
Wild Hog Control Program Cost Share
Program Purpose
Through its Wild Hog Control Program (WHCP), the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) is offering a cost share opportunity to Mississippi private land managers for equipment used for the trapping of wild hogs. The WHCP Cost Share Program was made possible by a federal appropriation and aims to provide technical guidance and monetary assistance regarding the most effective equipment and methods to trap wild hogs on private lands across Mississippi. The intention of the Cost Share Program is to provide one complete, remotely triggered trap for applicants within limits of the federal appropriation. However, additional approved trap components are eligible for funding. MDAC will reimburse the landowner or leaseholder for a percentage of the cost associated with purchasing trapping equipment to increase the number of wild hogs removed from the landscape.
