Operation:  This working alpaca farm provides education about the alpacas and the fiber they produce. Fiber processing demonstrations from raw fiber to finished products are offered. Classes in all types of fiber arts are available. Visit the general store to find unique items made by local artisians. Operation:  For 37 years people have visited this Christmas tree farm for the fun and pleasure of choosing their own tree before it has been cut down. After choosing your favorite tree you may cut the tree yourself or one of the staff will do it and shake it well to remove any dead needles. Next is wrapping and loading and you have a beautifully fresh Christmas tree for the season.

Activities:  Open for choose and cut Christmas trees on the Saturday before Thanksgiving (1 day only), and then will close and REOPEN on Thanksgiving day (check for hours). Holiday hours are Monday - Saturday 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. (entrance closes at 4:00 p.m.) Check website or call for date of final day of operation.

Directions:  From Hwy 35 3.5 miles south of Carthage take Hwy 487 E. 8 miles to Rosebud. Turn right (south) onto Gunter Road. The farm is approximately 200 yards on the right.

Operation:  Safari Wild Animal Park and Preserve is 466 acres offering all types of animals, a six mile safari drive to photograph animals and a petting barn. Visitors of all ages are welcome, including school field trips and educational Keeper talks to students. Corporate events, parties, etc., will be offered soon.

Activities:  Activities offered include a petting barn, school tours and field trips, wildlife viewing and photography, camel rides, parties and corporate events, giraffe and lorikeet feeding. Operation:  This is a U-pick blueberry and blackberry farm.

Activities:  U-pick blueberries and blackberries. Mid May through mid July. No fees or reservations required.

Directions:  Interstate 59 S to exit 60. Right on hwy 11. Immediate right on Sullivan Kilran. 1 1/2 miles take left at 3 way stop. 1 1/2 miles on Richburg. Left on Brooks Road. Farm is 1/2 mile on left.

Operation:  After challenging yourself in the corn maze, be sure to enjoy other activities such as a hay ride, cow train ride, jumping pillow and corn launchers. There are play and picnic areas for birthday parties.

Activities:  "Field of Fright" the last two weeks in October, and Character Day on the last Saturday in October.

Directions:  At I-10 in Moss Point, MS merge onto Hwy 63N (exit 69). Travel for 13.6 miles and turn right onto Hwy 614. Travel for 10.3 miles and turn left onto State Line Road. Go another 5.2 miles and turn left onto Tanner Williams Road and drive for 1.5 miles and the farm is on the left.

Operation:  Shroomdom is on 160 acres with 2 small ponds, a 12 acre lake and a creek. We have wild edible mushrooms and cultivated gourmet mushrooms. We offer educational walks, mushroom cultivation classes and Natural beekeeping classes. With pine groves, hard woods and bottom lands, this is where the mushrooms grow best. There is also a gopher turtle, which is on Shroomdom's "most wanted list!" We now keep 10 bee hives in Slovenia Bee Hives from Slovenia and grow cultivated gourmet mushrooms in the Myco Pillar. MisBeehaving Bee's is also a new addition to our farm.

Activities:  Mushroom education walk Spring into Fall. Foraging in July. Classes on keeping Bee's and cultivation classes on growing mushrooms. We are a S.A. Farm.

Operation:  This small quail farm is located on 8.4 acres of property, half of which is a wooded area. The wooded area has ponds, a creek and wetland areas; take a guided nature walk through these areas. Come see the quail and learn how to raise them. Taste the boiled and pickled quail eggs.

Activities:  Quail viewing and informational presentation, quail egg tasting, and guided nature walk with instructive talk all begin in September and go through December. Please call for exact dates and times of the activities. Reservations are required and fees will apply.

Directions:  From I-59, take exit 4 in Picayune and head east towards Kiln. Travel 5.2 miles and you will cross a small bridge. And then travel 2/10 of a mile and Shu's Roost is the the first driveway on the South side. Coming from Kiln, we are two miles past Seal's Grocery Store, approximately 11 miles from the 435/603 intersection.

Operation:  At Southern Cross Farm, our mission is to produce high quality beef in the most natural and environmentally sustainable manner possible, while encouraging viable habitats for wildlife, fish and pollinators. We offer educational tours to build consumer trust in beef products and the methods used to produce them.
