Section 18 Emergency Exemptions
The Bureau has authority from EPA under Section 18 of FIFRA to obtain a registration exemption for use of a pesticide product under certain emergency conditions. These exemptions may be obtained if significant economic losses are expected and alternative, registered pesticide products are not effective.
