The Show-Me Swine Racers have proven to be an excellent crowd pleasing entertainment with a touch of class. Our pig racing consists of three different species of pigs. Each species run a separate heat race. Therefore, we have three separate heat races during each show-time, and that equals three times the fun! Children, along with adults, love to see our little "hams" race to the finish line for a treat! Our audience is entertained and enthused through the provided comedy of our international world racing teams, and their chance at getting picked out of the crowd to "cheer" for one of the racing pigs. In addition, the winning pig's "rooters" receives a prize! |

Wild Whitetails is one of the most unique collections of Whitetail Deer mounts ever assembled for public display. The exhibit features 20 "wild antlered" deer mounts of unique antler configurations. These deer are unbelievable, the "average" score of the deer on display is an astounding 238 inches. These are the type of deer that legends are made of. People can spend a lifetime outdoors and never see these types of antlers. The entire display is shown inside a 38 foot enclosed trailer that is handicap accessible and safe for all ages. We want to point out that the display is not just for hunters, but for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. We are certain that you'll enjoy the unique beauty that these deer have to offer. Wherever Whitetail Deer roam, there are always a few that are bigger than all the others, those that hold a unique and genuine character that none other share, those that become local legends, and those that are seen as ghosts of the wilderness. It's these deer, the Ghosts and the Legends, which are the epitome of Wild Whitetails. You will find this excellent display located near the Trade Mart Building. See Daily Shows and Times for hours of operations. For more information visit WildWhitetails.net |

Commissioner Hyde-Smith's Welcome
Dear Fairgoers, Welcome to the 153rd Mississippi State Fair! While this is not my first State Fair, it is my first State Fair serving as your Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce, and I am honored to welcome you to this spectacular event. To many families, like my own, coming to the fair is a family tradition. The State Fair is more than just an event, it's an experience. From the food on the Midway to the carnival rides and games to the various livestock events, the Fair is an annual extravaganza that so many look forward to each year. Not only does the State Fair provide us with fun-filled family entertainment for all ages, it also showcases our rich agriculture in our state. Attractions such as the popular Children's Barnyard are enjoyed by numerous children of all ages that have the opportunity to encounter farm animals for the first time, and events such as the livestock shows give exhibitors the chance to show off their award-winning livestock. This Fun Guide provides you with the schedule of the events and activities that you will not want to miss. I encourage you to make the most of your visit to the Mississippi State Fair. Thank you for supporting the Mississippi State Fair and for helping to keep this Mississippi tradition alive.
